Keeps my 6 week old happy!

When we purchased this I kept wondering if it would really be worth it. Almost $50 for some dumb little colorful blanket and toys hanging down from it? But, it had such good reviews, I gave it a shot. So happy that I did! My little girl is now 6 weeks old and loves this play mat! It’s a lifesaver when she’s up at 3 am and I’m about to pass over from exhaustion. I can lay her down and she will entertain herself for up to an hour, just looking at the toys. Every now and then she will spot herself in the mirror and stare like she’s in shock. Love the little details to the toys, mat, and the lights. She hasn’t been able to fully take advantage of it yet being so young so I’m excited to watch her grow and learn to play with it more. I guess the little things are a lot more exciting when you’re new to the world
At first I thought the music was too quiet… but when I laid down beside her it seemed just the right volume for her. I do get a little annoyed that it plays the same song over and over.

My son loved playing on his Tiny Love Gymini. I was sad the day he finally grew out of it and we had to pack it away for the next baby. The plush toys are great. The colors are attractive and caught his attention. He even learned how to turn on the music and he enjoyed watching the lights. He spent a lot of quality tummy time there.

Our son loved this play mat from a few weeks old until we packed it up when he was about 8 months. It provided endless hours of entertainment. He loved the bright colors and hanging animals. We loved watching him reach various milestones on the play mat (rolling over, reaching for toys, pointing, giggling). Great product!

Baby loves it! Keeps him busy/happy for long stretches at a time (at 8wks he was already kicking the rattle at his feet, grabbing for the giraffe’s legs and noticing himself in the mirror).
Bright/fun colors. Easily wipe-able (haven’t washed it yet). Plenty of holes for hanging at various heights (easy to switch out toys).
Tips:
1) we only use a couple of hanging toys at a time as to not over-stimulate
2) occasionally we hang the Tiny Love Clip and Go Mobile to the center of the gym for something that moves/rotates
3) since the constant music is a bit tinny and can start to grate, we usually listen to our own MP3′s (will be fun when he can activate the flowers and receive a song as a reward)
I can see we’ll get lots of use from this the next few months – well worth the money.

Great product, the lights do not work, the sound chip in the music pad is horrid. One of the songs is B-I-N-G-O and they used the harmony instead of the melody… really? that had to happen? I would throw away the lights and sound and then its a wonderful product, my 9 week old loves it. The toys are great and they allow you to put your own toys up as well.

This is a great play mat. We started putting my son on it on this back when he was a couple of months old. He really liked the mirror and the elephant which was at eye level for him. As he grew we put him on his belly and he would play with the ears of the elephant on the mat itself (they crinkle). Now that he is sitting we will sit him on the mat facing the animals and he still plays with it.
The music is nice, it plays classical and nursery rhymes. The bright colors are really nice too.
Encourages motor skills

I love this! My 3-month old had started to reach and grab for objects (other than fingers) and this really spurred her on. She loves grabbing at her little friends and pulling and shaking them. And this mat came with plenty of hanging friends. What’s great is that there are additional holes, so you can hang your own toys from the “ceiling”, which we did, and you can interchange the toys that came with the mat and use them elsewhere. If you put the music on the “nursery rhymes” setting, it will only play when they kick or hit the flowers, which is great. The light up flowers and the large mirror really encourage her to enjoy tummy time, which can be a difficult feat at times. She has no problem laying on the mat and playing for 30 minutes.

My lil girl is 3 months old & she is just fascinated with the hanging giraffe & elephant & loves staring at herself in the mirror. The lights n music is tolerable, i just love the quality of this playgym..! Worth the $$

This Tiny Love Gymini is the best playmat I have seen. It has so many features and activities to keep my son entertained. The toys are easy to move around on the mat & detach to take on the go plus each toy has a unique feature (i.e. monkey and giraffe are rattles, the parrot spins & has wings that crinkle and the elephant is a pull toy). The mat has lots of features that engage my son for tummy time as well (the elephant’s ear crinkles, he can chew on the zebra mane or the giraffe’s tail, the flowers light up). I love the fact that the mat folds up flat which is great for storage and travel. The mat is easy to clean, just machine wash and air dry (I have washed it many times and it has held up well). Overall, this has been one of the best toy purchases I’ve made.
Overpriced and stopped working after few months

I bought this while I was 8mos pregnant and didn’t start using it until my daughter was 3 months or so. A few weeks after use I noticed one of the flowers stopped lighting up. Tiny Love never got back in touch with me about sending me new parts. I ended up having to fork over another $$$ for a new one! If my daughter didn’t like this one so much I would have switched to a different brand! If I go back I would have bought a play mat that was a little cheaper!

My 3 months old baby has been spending at least two hours in this gym everyday. He loves the music and the colorful patterns. The only problem is that some of the animals are dangling in such a low position that they are almost in the baby’s face.

Bought this toy for my son when he was 3 mos and he loves it!! The only thing I didn’t like about this is the lights/music? The lights weren’t attractively bright enough and maybe the wiring on mines were crossed but the music coming out of the speakers sounded warped and distorted, so we took out that entire piece all together. My baby loved it regardless!

I purchased this for my daughter when she was 1 1/2 months old, now she is 5 months old. She immediately enjoyed staring up at the animals, then started playing with them and laughing at them, and now she is turning over and enjoying the mat itself. It has been fun to watch her learn more and grow with this mat. I would highly recommend this product.

Our baby spends lots of time in her Gymini playing. Our babysitter recommended we get one of these. Our baby especially enjoys touching the giraffe and pulling on its legs. We haven’t used the music function much yet though. Well worth the investment!

Our son loves this gym. We have used it to encourage head lifting, and to engage him with the different toys. He loves the elephant and the giraffe. The only negative is that the snap style buttons are hard to fasten, but I am sure they will loosen up with use. This gym also works well with lots of links so that you are able to incorporate any other toys you may already own. To those who have made complaints regarding the sound, it’s a $50 toy not a Bose sound system. I feel that the musical selection is just fine, and the fact that the musical and light synchronization is great.
defective product, poor customer service

We got this as a baby shower gift. The flower touch pads didn’t work. And the quality of the sound of the music was very poor. To exchange it for a new one we contacted Tiny Love by email but never got a reply back. So I called them and they said the warranty is only for 6 months. It turns out that our friend purchased it for us more than 6months back. They said they cannot do anything for us. Very frustrating.

I was in a rush when I purchsed this gym at Babies R US, so I just picked it up withoit have compared reviews or anything like that, I wasreally surprised when I first put my son of 3 months there, he was amazed, and he last up to 15 to 20 minutes just playing with the figures, that was great for me, because I finally could do some house work. Now my baby is 6 months old, and even he still enjoy it, isnot as much as in the begining, but its because he is grown and is more interested in new things, but for smaller babies, definitely is a must.

This was a replacement for the same product where the blinking lights on the flowers quit working very shortly after it was received. Unfortunately the same thing happened with the replacement item almost immediately. Altough Amazon waas good about replacing the first item, I don’t think it is worth my time to ask for a second replacement.

I purchased this for my very active son when he was about 2 months old. He is selective in what he plays with on the gym and we have added our own links and toys that he prefers at times. He does like to look at the mat when he lifts his head. He is now 3 months and does not appear interested in the lights at all that are on the mat. He intermittently likes the mirror also. So overall it is a nice product but not something that amazed me. Is very convienent to store which I like.

My child has loved this since she was 2.5 months old. We purchased it for Christmas and it has kept her occupied with smiles since. She loves tummy time and can now roll over from her tummy to back and from her back to belly to look at all the fun stuff on the mat and the items that hang above her! If you are looking for something that will help your childs development as well as help you get stuff done around the house this is the item to get!

I would highly recommend this product to anyone. The mat is nice and soft; perfect for little babies. The mat has all kinds of different things to grab, touch, and explore while babies are on their tummies. The hanging toys are fun, colorful, and “do” different things (vibrate, rattle, etc.) The whole thing folds down, so it can be put away. I love this product and would buy it again and even give it as a gift.

I went to a friend’s house who happened to have one of these and my baby seemed to like it pretty well. So, for Christmas she got one from my parents upon my suggestion. This is BY FAR her favorite thing. Initially she LOVED to lay on her back and kick at the animals as well as grab them between her feet. Now that she is more aware of her hands, she loves to grab at them and bat them around. I know as she spends more time on her tummy, she will also love the things to look at and play with there. What an absolutely GREAT product. She “visits” with the animals and doesn’t seem to get bored with it as she can with other things.

This play gym is great. I got it for my daughter when she was 2 months old and I think she could have been enjoying it even sooner than that. She is now 4 months old and she still loves it. I move the toys around and put new toys on the arches from time to time so she doesn’t get bored with the same thing. She loves the mirror and the parrot. We don’t listen to the music too often.

When my son was younger, this was one of his favorite toys to play with (and even now that he is 11 months, the toys that hang down are great for “car seat” toys!)! We started using the TinyLove Playgym when he was just a few months old. When his eyesight was good enough, he loved looking at the colors and lights (perfect for tummy time!). It was so exciting to watch him “grasp” for the first time as he grabbed the colorful purple elephant!
I don’t know what I would have done without this play-mat as we made a trans-Atlantic move! The mat and crossbars folded small enough to fit in our biggest suitcase and as we prepared for our move (and as we stayed in a temporary accommodation), having the mat gave him plenty of things to do!

My baby and I love this toy. I purchased it when my son was about 2 months but wish i would have had it sooner. It is great for tummy time. It also really stimulates the baby when he is on his back. It is very colorful and comes with a bunch of hanging toys that your child can play with. It also has a bunch of grommets that you can attach any additional toys and it is very easy to change them out. The mat itself has a squeaky toy embedded, sections with crinkle paper, flowers that light up when the music is played, a mirror and a few other fun features. I continue to be very pleased with this purchase.

We received this gym as a hand me down from my sister in law, but after having it I would buy a replacement if they wanted to take it back.
At two months, my daughter enjoyed looking/batting at the toys then progressed to the mirror.
The flowers that light up/music that plays is great now that she is 3 months and starting to have longer “tummy time”. Eventually she will figure out the crinkly elephant ears and the fringe zebra but she hasn’t figured out her hands yet, so that will have to be later.
We have friends with other play gyms and they just have a few of the things this one has. I am a fan.

I got this gift from my baby registry and my son loves this! We started using it when he was a few days old. But now that he’s 15 weeks, he really enjoys playing with it! We use it several times daily for play and tummy time. Its easy to clean with the exception of the crinkly paper in the elephant and the butterfly on the mat–it got balled up in the wash and I haven’t “unwrinkled” it…not very practical placement for something that goes into my washing machine weekly! The overhead toys are interchangeable which is nice. The music isn’t so great, it plays the same classical song over and over and for some reason the Nursery song stops playing after the first round and won’t restart for a couple of minutes. I don’t use the music much because I find it annoying.

I am so pleased with this play gym! It is so very cute. I love that it is 3-D and that the elephant ear lifts up and is crinkly and has a bird hiding under it. The flower petals will be great for grabbing. (My little guy is just 2 months, so isn’t doing that yet) I also like the fact that there are places to attach toys at different levels, so we can move the toys and our son around under them and keep it interesting. Our son loves it and just grins and coos at the hanging toys. I haven’t put batteries in it yet, so cannot comment on the music feature. I am so happy we purchased this one!

Well actually probably day 5 since we got home from the hospital. I never write reviews on anything but my baby is only 2 months old and we have consistantly used it each and every day. She loves the bright colors, the mirror, and the sounds. It has been the only place she let us put her down without instantly crying and we have built up time each day so that she is now spending about 20 minutes happily batting at the toys and cooing at them and herself in the mirror. GREAT PRODUCT!
Poor sound quality

I purchased this for my 10 week old, and he seems to like it when he is calm. Not a good idea for him when he is upset. But the reason I gave this 3 stars is /c of the sound quality in the stars. I bought new batteries and put them in, and it sounds like the music is dying. Have since switched out the batteries, but the music still appears to be dying. I plan on exchanging this for another mat of the same, and am hoping that mine is just flawed.

You can change the position of the toys, and even add additional toys to it. Our son loves to stare at himself in the mirror, or lie on his back and bat away at the toys overhead. He started to enjoy it at around eight weeks. Now, he can play there for about an hour as I sit in the room with him folding laundry or cleaning up the nursery. Early on, they will want you to play on the mat with them.
If you have been holding your baby non-stop, you’ll love this playmat – a chance to put your baby down and he’ll still be happy as a clam.

This gym is, by far, the best one that I’ve come across (and I’ve done my “treasure hunting”…) The giraffe rattles, the parrot has super crinkly wings, monkey has elastic arms & legs, and the elephant vibrates when cord is pulled! My 4 month old loves looking at herself in the mirror. There is a bird print on the mat that holds a squeaker and the elephant on the mat has a giant ear that crinkles, too! There’s more…. the flashing lights in the flowers coordinate with the mozart music (or, if you wanted mother goose rhyme music, there’s that option as well); one song that I can remember is “Three Blind Mice”. My daughter has rolled now from tummy to back and almost from back to tummy. I think this gym helps encourage this because of the 360 degree options of fun. If you have a baby that is easily overstimulated though, this might not be the perfect gym for you because there is so much going on (although, the toys on the top bars are removable). I don’t see how this item can be a choking hazard. The dangling purple elephant has a light purple fabric belly that is securely sewn, and the rest of the items are safe, as well. Overall, my little girl has had this gym since she was two months old and still is enjoying it (more and more, actually). I highly recommend it! Just have your little one try it and watch his/her re(actions)!

My 2 month old loves it..she can spend hours on this entertaining herself. The lights and music have become kind of old though – wish there were more options for the music.
